- Control via switches/dimmers, occupancy/daylight sensors, and time of day
- Sensors are typically integral to the fixture
- Easier fixture installation (wireless or LV connections)
- Most systems are fully addressable
- Sensors and/or fixtures often offer more advanced information beyond just occupancy (temperature, humidity, location, etc.)
- Available in both wired and wireless options
